Conference tour "Carcassonne: 2600 years of history" in LSF

A lecturer offers a detailed tour of the monument in LSF that takes into account the needs and expectations of groups.

This very descriptive visit retraces the history of the city, in particular the castle and the Basilica. Exhibitions, plans, photos, models... are used by the lecturer to illustrate her speech.

This visit lasts on average 1h30. Possibility of an in-depth conference visit of 2h30

  • Visit for groups of 5 to 20 people with disabilities: 35 €.
  • Visits for individuals (from 5 people): 6 €/person (for children over 7 years old).

Discovery tour of the military architecture

  • 8 € / person (for children over 7 years old).

Discovery tour of daily life in the Middle Ages

Guided tour at a distance

  • 40 € for groups.

Visits for school groups

Throughout the year, an LSF lecturer offers discovery tours on different themes: history, architecture, art history, daily life... lasting 1h30 or 2h30.

Good to know

  • It is strongly advised that people with disabilities be accompanied by an able-bodied person (vast and uneven tour route).
  • The Lices and the Basilica are freely accessible.
  • You can also discover the castle freely: the Lapidary Museum on the second floor, the subtitled audio-visual presentation devoted to the history of the City and the tour of the castle's shirt.
  • A visit document is available at the ticket office.
  • The ramparts are not recommended for people who are very tired.
